As Culinary Director at The Cambridge Senior Living, I approach each day with passion—not just purpose. I face new challenges, hear new stories, and find fresh reasons to feel grateful. I’m excited to share how I arrived in this role, what fuels my dedication, and what a typical day looks like in our community. My work goes beyond preparing meals—it centers on building connections, creating purpose, and making a real difference where it counts.

I became a Culinary Director in senior living because I was ready to leave the traditional kitchen environment behind. As I explored new paths, senior living kept appearing—a hidden gem in the culinary world. I wasn’t just looking to prepare meals. I wanted meaningful work, something that allowed me to make a real impact in people’s lives.
My experience as a sous chef helped prepare me most for this role. I learned to manage the behind-the-scenes challenges and lead with consistency, even when support was limited. That time taught me the value of reliability, resilience, and working as a team.
Cooking with Care
What I enjoy most about working in senior living is knowing I’m helping residents enjoy the later years of their lives through food. I cook with care and love, and I truly believe they can taste that in every bite.
Each morning begins with warm greetings to both staff and residents. That simple act sets a positive tone for the day and reinforces the strong sense of community we all share at The Cambridge.
For anyone considering a culinary career in senior living, my advice is simple: just do it. This work brings fulfillment beyond the plate and creates moments that matter.

Success, to me, means ending the day with confidence in my team. When I walk away knowing they can handle anything that comes their way, I feel immense pride and trust.
At the end of the day, I take the greatest pride in contributing something meaningful—whether it’s a favorite dish, a heartfelt conversation, or a comforting moment. Thank you for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to serve at your table. I’m truly honored.
